Chinese Antique Store

There's an antique store on Mulberry Street in Manhattan's Chinatown that's filled with beautiful statues, sculptures, vases and scroll paintings, some of which might pass for museum quality if glimpsed quickly as you walk down the store aisles.





But a quick check of some of the price tags indicates that maybe they're not quite antiques.

Here's one that's a little more expensive at $2500:

Now I'm no expert on antique prices (although I did once attend the Asia and Pacific Arts Show at the 26th Street Armory), but if this Buddha was several hundred years old, I doubt it would go for $2500.

Still, even if they're manufactured to look like antiques, they look good enough to put on display in one's home. Certainly, if I had room in my apartment for such displays, I'd load up on stuff from this store:
